Do your most inspired work

Since its days as the Lee Tire and Rubber world headquarters, the people who work here have been reinventing the wheel. Since acquiring Spring Mill in 2019, Alliance HSP has spent an excess of $15M to redevelop, rebrand, and reimagine, the Spring Mill Campus to form a creative workplace that inspires and connects those within it.

Spring Mill Campus breathes new life into the suburban workplace—offering urban walkability and creativity in the heart of Conshohocken. Plus, just a short walk from SEPTA’s Spring Mill Station and Schuylkill River Trail, the campus is accessible by car, train, or bike.

History

An Old Tire Factory, Revived.

J. Ellwood Lee opened his first factory in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, in 1887 selling medical supplies.

Lee believed in the future of the automobile industry and decided to merge his medical supply company with Johnson & Johnson.

The Lee Tire and Rubber Company was opened in 1914 and became a staple of the industry until its decline in the 1960s.

Lee Tire and Rubber Co. began to decline in the early 1960s and was taken over by a New York firm, which changed the name to Lee National Corporation.

In 1965 the company was sold to Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, which restored Lee’s original name. The changes delayed the company’s demise, but it went out of business in 1980.

The main building of Lee’s Tire and Rubber Co. was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Lee’s Tire and Rubber Co. was transformed into office space, renamed Spring Mill Corporate Center, and passed between a handful of real estate investment companies.

Spring Mill was sold to boutique real estate company, Alliance HP, and reinvented to reflect the campus’s industrial history and creative future. Today, the workspace is referred to as Spring Mill Campus.
